Our Adoption Was Final Today

Post by John Macy »

We had our final court hearing today to finalize (finally) the adoption of the baby boy we adopted in February. Spencer Reid Macy is a little baby Texan from Humble, and we got him when he was two days old in February.

Ten months of legal wrangling (and enough expenses to own a roomful of new steels), it is now done, and you won't find two prouder parents anywhere!

Here's to a future steeler (??!!)

Congratulations!! What a wonderful present at this time of year. I know the hoops you had to jump through and all the possible last minute things that could have gone wrong. Glad it all came together for you.

Best wishes,

John

Thanks, y'all. This is truly a Christmas to remember.

You know, someone told me I should be playing him Metallica and rap music, so he will "rebel" and listen to country music.

It could work. I grew up surrounded by country music and a pretty famous steel guitar-playing dad. While I appreciate country, I don't own any. So, I guess you could consider this a fine example of rebeling.

Congrat's on making things legal with your little one! Mine is 18mos old and can't keep her hands off Grampa's steel.
